WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OUR CLUB NOW

Our club was very honored to participate in a dedication program of the WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) plaque at the National Museum of the Pacific War. This plaque was considered by most of us as the pinnacle of success in the entire history of ZCF. The program was very informative and inspirational, and culminated with a walk down the museum’s sidewalk of plaques to “our” tribute to these brave, selfless women who served in WWII. The Congressional Medal of Honor was awarded in 2010 to the WASPs. Special thanks to (1) Lindy, for his donation to the museum of memorabilia from his Mother and other WASPs, and (2) the Hill Country 99’s, who announced a future scholarship to women pilots in our area.
A Free Book
Gifting Program
In 1995, Dolly Parton launched an
exciting new effort, Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library, to benefit the
children of her home county in East
Tennessee, USA. Dolly’s vision was to
foster a love of reading among her
county’s preschool children and their
families. The new program gave each
child a specially selected book each
month. By mailing high quality, age
appropriate books directly to their
homes, Dolly wanted children to be
excited about books and to feel the
magic that books can create. Moreover,
she could ensure that every child would
have books, regardless of their family’s income.

We are so happy to be of assistance to young ladies in Zimbabwe at the Harhare School for Girls as benefactors for their school tuition. This is Nicole who was kind enough to send us a "Thank you" video with her gratefulness to Zonta Club of Fredericksburg and all of the ladies who make this happen across the globe.
