Scholarships

Each year the Zonta Club of Fredericksburg, TX provides scholarships to women and high school seniors in Fredericksburg and the adjoining towns of Kerrville, Harper, Johnson City, Blanco, Llano and Mason for college or other training to enhance their professional opportunities.

See our Scholarship & Awards page for Applications.

Adopt a Family

Each Christmas the Zonta Club of Fredericksburg donates money to the

Hill Country Needs Council, which selects several needy families to receive food

and gifts at Christmas. Our sponsored Girl Scout Unit goes out to purchase, wrap

and deliver the food and gifts.

Schatze House

Proceeds from Schatze Haus Resale Boutique benefits Grace Center. You'll find lots of treasures like women's, men's and children's clothing, furniture, art, books and more. Located at 712 W Main St, Suite B in Fredericksburg, next to the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post.  Volunteers

are needed to work the sales counter, help price and sort donated goods, and of course be an ambassador to greet customers.

Grace Center

Throughout the year the Zonta Club of Fredericksburg collects clothing toiletries,

etc., for the Grace Center of Fredericksburg.   Because of our generous donation,

we are excited that the Sun Porch will be named in our honor at their new location.

Literacy

Our club donates money locally and to a Zimbabwe school, Harare, as a scholarship for young girls to purchase computers. printers, books, fees and other supplies needed to complete their studies.  These young women have gone on to study in the US at Cottey College and earn Masters / Doctorates.

Girl Scouts
During the school year, the Zonta Club of Fredericksburg sponsors the Fredericksburg

and surrounding areas Girl Scout Unit where we act as Unit Leaders, Troop Leaders,

attend meetings and providing support as needed.

The Golden Hub’s Meals on Wheels (MOW) program delivers over a hundred meals per day (nearly 2400 meals each month!) to the homebound and/or disabled seniors in the Gillespie County. Deliveries are 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year.  Meals on Wheels recipients receive up to five nutritious lunches and/or frozen meals for evening and weekends every week, all delivered by volunteer drivers.

Days For Girls in Africa
